About Calvin Hill, I've been
involved in businesses for over 50 years. I began selling automobiles in Detroit, Michigan, in 1956. In
the years I spent in the Automobile business; I worked for others, and also
owned and operated my own automobile business. I spent a total of 28 years in the automobile business. Those 28 years
were spent in sales or teaching others how to sell. I always strived to be the
best. I would always take an analytical
look at the science of any business I was involved in. By science, I mean, how you break a business
down, and separate all the parts. You
examine each part to see its relationship and significance to the whole. I then reconstruct all these parts and put
them back together, in the order to produce the strongest, and most effective
working model, for that particular business. I was able to do that so well in the car business. I became the number one automobile salesman,
in the United
States,
in 1978. I was also the highest-paid.
I wrote a book, to show the
kind of mindset you can acquire, to help you, reach the level of success, you
desire; by using that mindset in your business. The book is titled, "THE ART OF POWER AND
CONTROL". After spending 28 years in the car business,
I got into the mortgage business because of the unlimited potential of that
business. I was a mortgage broker and a
mortgage lender for 23 years. Hillcrest
Mortgage was one of the most successful mortgage brokers in the state of Georgia. I am sure you
are doing the math. Don't bother, I am
73 years old; or as I like to say 73 years young. As you can see, I have had decades of
experience in the sales of products, and the sales of services. There were
three things which were important for me, to accomplish in my life. One was to become the best; in my chosen
profession. I did that. I wanted to write a book which could help
others do the same thing. I did that.
