Let's dissect a business, and break it down into its basic components. Different businesses have different sets of components; but the basics remain the same. I want you to understand the ideas and solutions I'm giving you are for small businesses. Businesses with less than100 people. Large corporations and companies have so many resources, including consultants, attorneys, CPAs, and all kind of advisors, and more often than not, enormous bank lines of credit. Their sources of capital can sometimes be unlimited. We are talking to the small business person who is literally out there on their own. Let's examine the basics.

1. Income/Sales

2. Expenses/Sales 

3. Product/Sales

4. Service/Sales.

5. Employees/Sales. 

I have added Sales to each business basic; because Sales have a major effect on all the other basic components. This is true regardless of product or service.
